My College Life as an IT Student

Salutation readers, before going through to the blog, you must know that this Blog is all about the interesting events, experiences and moments we IT Students shared on our university, in and out campus activities, of how IT Students live, study and of course have fun.

Information technology was never been my foremost course decision, as I recall I was just shocked as I took the exam in UNO-R, my mother thought that I should just be in UNO-R since if I’m going to take IT, UNO-R as they say is “PAASCU Accredited” that lured my mom to just take IT as an option and a course, because seriously speaking I always wanted to be a journalist or a mass com. Student, but I did took this path since I was also thinking in course trend, so I took the bait and choose IT. So I can assure you that it was more than fate that I entered IT.

Let’s start during my first year life on the university, the first thing you must know about me dear reader is that I am not quite a friendly type of person on first impressions, during my childhood I would always limit and distance myself to persons who I felt are strangers, but such time of togetherness and chit-chat, then would I feel comfortable to that person, the arousing suspiciousness would simply vanish as if I would treat that person that we were friends for life. Now in regards to this, my first year, first semester life was not that quite jolly since I have mention that I’m not quite sociable, because I have this perspective that no matter what happens, people would always socialize with me first, and I got stuck to that belief, so to make it short and simple, I was lonely on my first year, I have to no one to talk and share thoughts to. I would always go home alone and do my assignments on my own since I have no one to depend on. Yes that’s my life, a sad

and lonely story, but then one morning of class one girl who would not be named, talked to me, and then I was happy that finally someone took the courage and talked to me, and what I mean to that is that I have this face of a lioness who’s not so easily to be tamed and people would always use the word as “Maldita” in their first impression. but then it did not stop there, on that moment I’d slowly opened myself for everyone who wishes to be my friend, although I stick to my principles but I learned that no matter what happens, you can never go lonely on this good earth. So I gained friends on my first semester college life, but during those times I would still miss high school life, since it would still be fresh for me after graduating for just few months back. Every time I felt that I was lonely I would text my high school friends to go somewhere and to have fun just to occupy the loneliness. After the first semester comes the second semester, when I got enrolled, late have I known that I would have a different section and that means new classmates, I was scared and at the same time curious if what would be my second semester would be like? Some of my classmates on the first semester retained to be my classmate so I was not that scared knowing at least I knew someone. It was first day and new faces shows, as I remembered it was always been like the first day of school of my life, I knew no one, but as I sat on the chair, I saw one of my former classmate now my classmate on my new section, and so I called her and we sat on the same row. The others are quite comfortable since they already knew each other and that its still there section, only few got separated to them. And so as time flies some of them got acquainted with me, and I felt that I was comfortable to them, there was this event where every IT students are required to come, it was actually the Christmas party of our department, and so at this event we got closer even more.

I guess the main reason why I have been gaining friends more is that I have shown my personality, which is a person who makes people smile, easy to be with and of course a true friend. So for you to gain friends you have to be more true to yourself and that never hide who you are what you are, always feel comfortable whenever you are. Moving on, there was also one of this activity where I joined to perform acting and of course putting make up to the other actress. This was multimedia week and each year level are expected to have an output of the given requirements. One of such requirement was a filming a movie, ours was based on a vampire love theme since at that time vampire story was very rampant, and they titled it “Sirum”.

So much had happened during my first year life, I gained friends, I lose friends, and then I gained friends again. I was happy and contented at that time.

Now second year, I would say that among the years had passed this had been my favorite year, not only did I met new friends but also it became one of the most significant year in making the group of “Snow white and the Seven Dwarfs” . this concept was quite simple, Me as Snow White, no question about it, and rest are dwarfs, but more than that, it was intended for our closeness and time of being together, it was made for ensuring that are friendship would last and so we can limit our selves within the group for in time we need each other. It was always been clear that we can have different friends but our loyalty and solidarity remains on the group. Now it came out deep but it was really the purpose of it. It was agreed that on every third day of the month we would meet together and go someplace else. Until this day we continue on that principle. As I remembered my second year life was always been fun, because we would go out someplace else and just enjoy the company of each other.

The end of second year means the start of third year, now for me, this had been the most tiring and exhausting year so far on my college year, not only now our subjects are loaded but also our projects too, and one of which is what you’re reading right now. Not only that but I am also a year level mayor, late have I told you that this has been my second appointed year, and my first was when I was a second year.

So what am I right now in IT? Well I’m just a student who’s ready to graduate and finish all his requirements as soon as possible.
